Two letters purported to have come from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and signed by Uche Nworah, and another from the Anambra state government, began circulating on social media. The contents of the letter from the APC asked that the management of Ken Hotels and Suits reserve all available rooms for 12 days beginning from November 1 to November 12, 2025.
The letter further asks that a response be given in 72 hours. The letter dated 18th September 2025 went viral during the week.
The other letter from the State government asked that a hotel reservation be made from November 4th to 9th (5 days) for government guests. Both letters were dated September 18, 2025.
Claim:
Did both Nworah and the Anambra State Government write letters to the management of Ken Suites Hotel requesting room reservations for guests?
Verification:
CDD-War Room contacted a source from the hotel to ascertain the authenticity of both letters, which was confirmed. However, they noted that they received a letter from the APC on October 3, 2025. While explaining the issue further, they stated that it was necessary for context to be applied to the letters, and as such, each party requested to reserve a room, which wasn’t against the rules of the land.
They further explained that it was important to note that at the time the APC enquired the availability of rooms, the state government had not officially written to them for a reservation, thus the confusion. They did note that an enquiry was made by both sides. They noted that they intend to address the misinformation going on social media, as it was intended to cause mischief.
On the other hand, Uche Nworah had, in a Facebook post, distanced himself from the letter, claiming that he did not sign or author it. He further stated that he did not “hold any official position in the Nicholas Ukachukwu/Iyom Senator Uche Ekwunife Gubernatorial Campaign Organisation.”
Verdict: TRUE
Both the APC and the Anambra State Government sent letters to Ken Suites Hotel requesting reservations for guests. However, Uche Nworah has denied authoring or signing the APC letter, casting doubt on the authenticity of his purported involvement.
