An image allegedly from INEC showing PDP governorship candidate Asue Ighodalo as the lead began trending towards the late hours of Saturday.
In the image, Ighodalo was purported to be leading among the top three candidates with a total of 253,180 votes from the ongoing Edo state Off-cycle elections which took place on September 21, 2024.
Verdict: FALSE
CDD can confirm that the image in question was not released by the electoral umpire. The graphic however originated from the PDP situation room.
