A social media blogger, Wahala Network, claimed in an Instagram post that the X account of the Lagos Police Complaint Response Unit( CRU) was suspended by the microblogging platform, formerly known as Twitter.
The post, captioned “Wahala Jam Network! Elon Musk’s app, X suspends Lagos Police Complaint Response Unit account,” had garnered over 19,000 likes as of when it was retrieved from Instagram.
The CRU was created by the Lagos Police Command to receive complaints from the public regarding the conduct of its officers.

The CDD War Room checked the official account of the Lagos Police Command on X to verify the claim. We found that the handle of the Complaint Response Unit had been suspended as of the time of this report. According to X, the CRU account violated the platform’s rules.
