On August 15, 2026, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) conducted the governorship election in Osun State.
Barely 24 hours after the end of voting, several images of statements of result from the polling units, popularly called Form EC8A, are being circulated online.
One such viral image was tweeted by an X user (formerly Twitter), who posted a form EC8A from Isale Aro Salvation Army 1 polling unit in Osogbo on his page, with the caption “APC desperation don start. Useless party.” On the image of the form EC8A attached are discrepancies in the votes ascribed to the political parties.

A similar version of that Form EC8A image was also shared by another X user, with the caption “Iya yin lo ma sesin!” This post has garnered over 125,000 engagements.
CLAIM: Is the statement of result (Form EC8A) from Isale Aro Salvation Army 1 polling unit manipulated?
VERIFICATION:

On the (INEC Result Viewing) IReV portal, the original result from the polling unit has been uploaded, without discrepancies in the figures.
